Introducing Fall 2010 Student Summit Weekends

National Geographic Student Summit is now offering two specially-focused weekend programs for schools within driving distance of D.C.

Each program delves into Washington D.C.'s most notable destinations and National Geographic's extensive resources, while providing students with the opportunity to focus intensively on one of two specific areas: Energy and the Environment and Photography.

About the fall 2010 Student Summit weekends:

• For groups of high school students and their teachers within driving distance of Washington, D.C.
• Begin on a Thursday evening and end on Sunday afternoon (3 nights)
• Include visits with National Geographic Experts, Washington, D.C. organizations and agencies, and national monuments and museums
• Offer a specific focus on either photography or energy and the environment
• One teacher/adult chaperone participates for free with every 10 students from your school
